Guidelines for Energy Efficiency ErP Certification Processing
ERP certification is the energy efficiency certification part of CE certification, which officially began mandatory implementation on March 1, 2013. The ERP directive is the new European CE marking regulation. As a CE marking directive, the requirements of the ERP directive will be implemented along with other requirements such as safety regulations, electromagnetic compatibility, and radio.
ERP energy efficiency certification is applicable to: a. lighting fixtures, light sources, b. household appliances (such as refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, electronic displays, etc.).
How to apply for EU ERP energy efficiency labels?
Information required for ERP energy efficiency registration and testing:
Registration required documents:
a. Application form, business license;
b. European Agency Information;
c. Energy efficiency testing report;
d. Product English manual (if available).
Registration time: 1-2 weeks
Required documents for testing:
a. Business license;
b. Application Form;
c. Product samples (1-2 pieces).
If you are not a manufacturer and the manufacturer can provide energy efficiency testing reports, you can hire someone to register with the EU official. It should be noted that an ERP report can include multiple models of this product at the same time, but the relevant power, wattage, and other information of these models must be consistent. However, one energy efficiency label can only correspond to one ERP report model and one company's brand. If there are multiple products, companies, or brands, corresponding energy efficiency labels need to be registered separately.
Due to the increasing development of energy-saving products and the less obvious differences between A++and A++for consumers, the EU energy label categories will gradually be adjusted and a simpler A to G scale will be reintroduced. For example, a product displaying an A+++energy efficiency rating may become B-level or lower after rescaling, without any change in its energy consumption. Class A will initially be empty to leave space for developing more energy-efficient models.
According to Amazon's latest requirement, ERP energy efficiency certification labels must be provided for related products before March 3, 2023, otherwise they will be taken down.
