CPC certification in the United States

Date:2022-12-16

FCC
The English name for the CPC certificate is Children's Products Certificate. Suitable for children under 12 years old, such as toys, cradles, stools, children's clothing, etc. If produced locally in the United States, the manufacturer is responsible for providing the certificate, while if produced in other countries, the importer is responsible for providing the certificate. CPC refers to a form equivalent to a self declaration, which reflects the information of the product, as well as the tested product testing standards and items.

The US Amazon website requires all children's toys and products to provide the Children's Product Certificate (CPC certificate), which is similar to the COC certificate. When products related to children are launched on the Amazon US website, including toys, baby products, etc., CPC certificates will be required to be issued, otherwise they will not be sold. Although called a 'certificate', CPC certification is not issued by any official agency and does not need to be filed with government departments. Essentially, it is a 'guarantee letter' drafted and fully responsible by the manufacturer/importer, declaring that their product complies with all locally applicable children's product safety regulations and other laws and regulations in the United States.

Amazon platform requires merchants to upload CPC certificates when launching certain categories of products (such as children's toys, baby products, etc.), and related children's products without CPC certificates cannot be sold online.

At present, children's toy products and maternal and child products exported to the United States require CPC certification certificates and CPSIA reports for customs clearance. Foreign online merchant Amazon, ebay, AliExpress also requires Chinese made children's products, toys, mother and baby products to obtain CPC children's product safety certificates.

CPC certification fee: evaluated based on actual situation! Amazon requires toy products to comply with this CPC certification requirement! Many merchants don't understand what this is! Resulting in a large number of toy products being taken down, causing heavy losses! Whether you can seize the opportunity to make money depends on whether your preparation is sufficient! Remember not to hold any lucky mentality!
