Introduction and Product Scope of the RED Wireless Product Directive (2014/53/EU Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment)

What is RED?
RED:（ Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive）, Radio and communication terminal instructions. Wireless remote control products and communication products exported to the European Union must comply with the requirements of the R&TTE Directive (Radio and Communication Terminal Directive) -1999/5/EC.

Products included in the RED directive
Short distance wireless remote control products (SRD), such as remote-controlled toy cars, remote-controlled alarm systems, remote-controlled doorbells, remote-controlled switches, remote-controlled mice, keyboards, etc.
Professional radio remote control products (PMR) such as professional wireless intercoms, wireless microphones, etc. Rope telephone, fax MODEM、 Telephone Answering Machine, PABX, Cordless Telephone CTO, CT1, CT1+..., ISDN (Digital Telephone Product), DECT (Enhanced Digital Cordless Telephone), GSM, CDMA
Bluetooth products such as Bluetooth earphones, mobile phones, wireless intercoms, wireless phones, Bluetooth earphones, remote control toys, cars, wireless mice, keyboards, wireless microphones

Determine whether RED is required
Telecommunications operators in various countries have put forward specific requirements for electronic products directly connected to the public telecommunications network (PSTN) in order to protect the vast PSTN. This is to ensure that products connected to the PSTN minimize their impact and harm to the public telecommunications network during use. Therefore, direct access is necessary. In addition to meeting the requirements of electromagnetic compatibility, electronic products of PSTN must also meet the professional communication requirements of various countries, especially for countries and regions such as North America, Europe, Australia, and Japan, where governments have particularly strict requirements for these products.

CE-RED testing project:
1. Electromagnetic compatibility testing (EMC testing); 
2. Low Voltage Directive Test (LVD Test) for safety regulations;
3. Radio communication equipment testing (RF testing);
4. Magnetic field radiation testing (EMF testing/SAR testing)

10. LVD report of charger; 
11. Fixed frequency software (also known as fixed frequency program. It enables the transmitting module to continuously transmit at a certain frequency point, which is generally required for BT and WIFI).
