According to the latest news released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the national standard GB 4943.1-2022 "Audio and Video, Information Technology and Communication Technology Equipment Part 1: Security Requirements" was released on July 19, 2022 and officially implemented on August 1, 2023. The standard modification adopts the IEC international standard: IEC 62368-1:2018.

The new standard GB 4943.1-2022 will replace GB 4943.1-2011 and GB 8898-2011，Becoming a merged safety standard for information technology, audio and video, and telecommunications terminal products, involving CCC categories 08, 09, and 16.

The main drafting units include China Electronics Standardization Institute, the Fifth Institute of Electronics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Shanghai Institute of Quality Supervision and Inspection Technology, China Quality Certification Center, Beijing Saixi Certification Co., Ltd., and Beijing Tairuite Testing Technology Service Co., Ltd.
