CQC Chinese full name: China Quality Certification Center. It is the most authoritative certification body in China and the largest issuing body for CCC certification in China. The so-called CQC certification, also known as CQC voluntary certification, is actually for products that are not included in the CCC certification catalog. CQC (China Quality Certification Center) carries out certification with its own brand reputation as a guarantee. Of course, unlike 3C mandatory certification, CQC certification is voluntary, which means that there are no laws or regulations in the country that require enterprises to do it.

Here, let me further explain the concept of CCC certification. CCC certification is a mandatory product certification system in China. According to China's administrative regulations, as long as a manufacturer's products are listed in the CCC certification catalog, they must obtain CCC certification in accordance with national regulations before the products can be sold. Otherwise, it is considered an illegal act. If found by the local quality and technical supervision bureau, it may result in fines and sealed goods, or even forced suspension of business for rectification.

CQC certification is a voluntary certification in China, and the country does not require mandatory certification. Many products that are not included in the 3C certification catalog can undergo CQC certification. Manufacturers who do CQC certification generally do it at the request of customers or for the purpose of promoting the market. It should be noted that in the process of 3C certification, complete machine manufacturers often require components to provide CQC certification, so many component manufacturers also do CQC certification at the request of complete machine manufacturers.  

Generally speaking, there is no intersection between the scope of 3C certification and CQC certification, which means that products that can obtain 3C certification cannot obtain CQC certification, and products that can obtain CQC certification cannot obtain 3C certification.

Introduction to CQC Certification

In December 2001, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China issued the "Regulations on the Management of Compulsory Product Certification", replacing the original import commodity safety and quality licensing system and electrical product safety certification system with the compulsory product certification system. China Compulsory Certification, abbreviated as CCC certification or 3C certification. It is a statutory mandatory safety certification system. The products listed in the "Catalogue of Products Subject to Compulsory Product Certification" include 22 categories of products such as household appliances, automobiles, safety glass, medical devices, wires and cables, toys, etc. CQC has been designated to undertake the 3C certification work for 146 products in 18 categories within the scope of the CCC catalogue.

CQC has launched voluntary product certification services (known as CQC logo certification) for product categories other than mandatory certification. By adding the CQC logo, it indicates that the product meets relevant quality, safety, environmental protection, performance and other standard requirements. The certification scope covers more than 500 types of products. Intended to protect the personal and property safety of consumers and safeguard their interests; Improve the product quality of enterprises and enhance their competitiveness in the international market; It also enables foreign companies' products to enter China more smoothly.

Perform the initial and annual factory inspections commissioned by the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) for CCC.

1. The so-called factories in the factory inspection requirements include certification principals (producers or sellers, importers), manufacturers, and production factories. If the relevant units (certification client (producer or seller, importer), manufacturer, production factory). ）Responsible for projects with different requirements, personnel from relevant units or authorized personnel must be present for inspection.

2. Please prepare a certified product testing report to facilitate product consistency checks.

3. On the day of on-site inspection, it is necessary to arrange the production of CCC certified products for sampling, consistency inspection, and on-site testing.

4. Due to the need for on-site designated testing, please prepare the GB standards for the relevant products.

5. Items 1-10 of the mandatory factory inspection requirements for household and similar use equipment, audio and video equipment, and information technology equipment certification implementation rules can be found on the website.

6. If during the inspection, it is found that:

a. When there is no certified product available for consistency inspection and on-site testing, the factory inspection determines that it has not passed.

b. When the consistency check and on-site testing of the certified product do not meet the requirements, the factory inspection determines that it has not passed.

c. When there are too many non conformities in the mandatory certification factory inspection requirements that can affect the maintenance of the factory inspection requirements, the factory inspection is judged as not passing.
